Andre Smith began his academic career at Harris-Stowe University, a small HBCU located in St. Louis, Missouri. He specializes in studying American institutions and research methodology. He joined the Fayetteville State University faculty in 2022. Prior to starting his academic career, he spent twenty-years as a St. Louis police officer.
