My experiences in the Substance Abuse Graduate Certificate Program at FSU has been quite rewarding, and I am pleased that my graduate studies are off to a phenomenal start. Fayetteville State University's School of Social Work offers one of the finest Substance Abuse Graduate Certificate Programs in the southeastern portion of the country, which I am honored to be a part of.
I am committed to Fayetteville State University's (FSU) Substance Abuse Graduate Certificate Program. The Substance Abuse Graduate Certificate Program has provided me with the skills and knowledge to excel in all aspects of substance abuse intervention and practice. The program has taught me the importance of connecting with clients by establishing trusting, and reliable relationships, while also learning how to be a supportive practitioner throughout one's process of recovery and addiction.
My educational achievements would not be possible without the generous support from the School of Social Work. I consider myself blessed to be accepted in such a prestigious program, and I am quite fortunate to be a scholarship recipient of the Governor's Institute Scholarship. As a U.S. Air Force veteran, I do not take this opportunity lightly and will do my best to ensure that I uphold the core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all I attempt to do.
Thank you, School of Social Work for enabling this opportunity!
