Performance Management Program

We are pleased to announce the implementation of the Cornerstone Performance Management System. This is available to permanant SHRA employees and all EHRA Non-Faculty employees. This system will allow the Performance Progam to go electronic. 

** The Human Resources Office will no longer accept paper Performance Management Forms **

Performance Management: 

- Provides a furture-focused program centered around strategic thinking, planning and achievement

- Encourages communication between employees and supervisors to promote engagement and retention of the best employees 

- Improves communtication between supervsiors and employees

Performance Management Steps: 

1. Planning - Development of Work Plan

2. Checking In - Interim Review(s) & Performance Discussions 

3. Review - Annual Performance Evaluation 

 

SHRA Annual Performance Evaluation Ratings: 

1. Not Meeting Expectations - 1.00 to 1.69 

* The employee CANNOT  receive an overall rating of "Exceeding Expectations" 

2. Meeting Expectations - 1.70 to 2.69 

3. Exceeding Expectations - 2.70 to 3.00

* Supervisor will need to include justification for an employee to recieve "Exceeding Expectations" 

* To recieve this rating, the employee may have taken on additional duties, improved efficency or increased efficiencey in departmental processes. 

*If a disciplinary action has been given an employee CANNOT recieve overall rating of "Exceeding Expectations"

Performance Management Period

SHRA

(Subject to the State Human Resources Act)

EHRA

(Exempt from the State Human Resources Act)

The annual performance evaluation period for SHRA Staff is from April 1, 2021 - March 31, 2022.

 -All employees hired on or before October 1st of the previous year are required to have a completed evaluation.  

-All employees active six (6 months) or more in the cycle - this includes employee transfers, as of March 31, MUST receive a written annual appraisal, which will include an overall performance rating for the cycle.

SHRA evaluations should be submitted to Human Resources by May 15th.  

The annual performance evaluation period for EHRA covers the period from the previous July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022.  

-EHRA staff members who have been employed for at least six months of the evaluation cycle (i.e., hired before January 1) must receive an annual performance evaluation.  

-Currently employed EHRA staff members hired after January 1 must-have goals established for the upcoming fiscal year.

-EHRA staff members hired during the fiscal year should have goals established within one month of hire.

EHRA evaluations should be submitted to Human Resources by August 15th.
