Our Mission
Fayetteville State University (FSU), a public comprehensive, Historically Black University, offers robust and innovative degree programs rooted in the liberal arts tradition. The university advances knowledge through the integration of teaching, learning, research, and public service. FSU strives to meet the educational, career, and personal aspirations of its students from rural, military, and other diverse backgrounds so that they are equipped with academic and practical knowledge to serve local, state, national, and global communities as enlightened citizens, globally astute leaders, and engaged solution creators.

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees serves as advisor to the Board of Governors on matters pertaining to FSU and also serves as advisor to the Chancellor concerning the management and development of the institution. The President of the Student Government Association serves an ex officio member.
Office of the Chancellor
The Office of the Chancellor provides administrative, organizational, strategic, and compliance services to advance the university's strategic priorities.

Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is the officially recognized governance group for all faculty members at the University. As such, the Faculty Senate participates in the shared governance process with the University Administration.
Staff Senate
The Staff Senate serves as a forum for discussion among all university staff and as an advocate for staff interests with other governance bodies, the university administration.
Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the organization that comprises the Fayetteville State University student leaders and strives to meet the needs of the student body and act in their best interests. SGA officers focus on advocacy and support for all students and communicating on university-related information that directly affect students.
