Communication and Media Studies (Minor)
Why Choose a Communication and Media Studies Minor?
An academic minor can be a great choice for students who have already chosen their major from another department, but who wish to supplement their education and increase their odds for a great career by taking a concentration of courses from another area. If you want to improve your communication skills, develop an in-depth understanding of communication fields such as journalism, speech writing, PR, advertising, or health communication, CLC offers a minor in communication that will certainly benefit your education and your career.
Fayetteville State University has introduced me to many opportunities and provided me a strong support system.
What Will You Learn?
In order to earn a minor in communication, you will need to complete 18 credit hours with a grade of C or higher in all minor requirements. In addition to two introductory courses, you will be required to complete four elective courses which allow you to concentrate on an area of interest for you, such as journalism, speech and professional communication, or health communication.
