COVID-19 Grade Codes

These grade codes were used for Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic for Doctoral, Graduate, and Undergraduate students.

Emergency Pass/Fail Grades 

PA (Passed): Passing with grade A. Grade used for undergraduate students. Credit hours count toward attempted and earned hours but do not impact GPA. If this is a repeated course, the course will not count as part of the repeat. In order to receive the benefit of the repeat, students must accept the letter grade earned. If the course is required for degree completion, the student will not have to repeat the course. 

PB (Passed): Passing with grade B. Grade used for undergraduate students. Credit hours count toward attempted and earned hours but do not impact GPA. If this is a repeated course, the course will not count as part of the repeat. In order to receive the benefit of the repeat, students must accept the letter grade earned. If the course is required for degree completion, the student will not have to repeat the course. 

PC (Passed): Passing with grade C. Grade used for undergraduate students. Credit hours count toward attempted and earned hours but do not impact GPA. If this is a repeated course, the course will not count as part of the repeat. In order to receive the benefit of the repeat, students must accept the letter grade earned. If the course is required for degree completion, the student will not have to repeat the course. 

PD (Passed): Passing with grade D. Grade used for undergraduate students. Credit hours count toward attempted and earned hours but do not impact GPA. If this is a repeated course, the course will not count as part of the repeat. In order to receive the benefit of the repeat, students must accept the letter grade earned. If the course is required for degree completion and a grade of D is passing for the major or elective courses, the student will not need to repeat the course.

FC grade (Failed): Grade used for undergraduate students. Credit hours count toward attempted hours but do not impact earned hours or GPA. If the course is required for degree completion, the student must repeat the course. 

Course Withdrawals
CW - Course withdrawal due to COVID-19 Pandemic. The course withdrawal will not affect the student's remaining number of career withdrawals.
