Mr. Glover provides supervision for individuals who are seeking substance abuse credentialing as License Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). His company has and continues to provide field placements for Fayetteville State University, Methodist University, Shaw University, University of North Carolina Pembroke students, providing them an opportunity for hands on, practical, face-to-face intervention with mentally ill/substance abuse/dependent consumers.
Jonathan F. Glover is a native of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He received his high school diploma in Morganfield, Kentucky in 1968. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Audrey Cohan College in New York City. He received his Masters Degrees from the Metropolitan College of New York, (MS) and Yeshiva University New York (MSW). He pursued and participated in Doctoral studies at Yeshiva University's Wurweiler School of Social Work and Andersonville University Georgia.
Mr. Glover has had extensive training in the areas of mental health and substance abuse/dependence/addiction. He began his career working with children and adolescents ranging from ages 9 to 17 in upstate New York. He has held the following positions: Counselor, Senior Counselor, Mental Health Coordinator, Assistant Director, Program Director, Program Director Parole and Probation, Clinical Director 300 bed substance abuse treatment facility, Team Leader (ACTT), CEO, Etc., Executive Director of Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities, Vice President of Pinnacle Management Group, Inc.
Mr. Glover has over twenty years (20) experience in the mental health, criminal justice, and substance abuse fields. He has written the following thesis: 1. "The implementation of electronic data collection system into substance abuse treatment system in New York City" (Library Metropolitan College of New York); 2. "They return because it home" a recidivism study (Library Yeshiva University New York).
Mr. Glover is a member of the NASW and ASA has provided volunteer services to the homeless, HIV/AID individuals, the mentally ill, substance addicted, and criminal justice involved in Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, New York and Virginia. He also sponsors basketball teams in the Fayetteville, Cumberland County communities. Mr. Glover has dedicated his life to the empowerment and improvement of the lives of the downtrodden members of our communities, children, adolescents, young adult, adults, and the elderly. Mr. Glover taught at the Metropolitan College of New York for four (4) years and he been teaching at Fayetteville State University since spring of 2005.
Mr. Jonathan F. Glover began his teaching career at the Metropolitan College of New York City in 2000. There he taught in the Human Services Department. He taught ethics, confidentiality, teaching, counseling, the legal and ethical aspects of counseling, Clinical documentation, field work, etc.
In 2004 Mr. Glover accepted a teaching position at Fayetteville State University. Today he continues his work at the university, providing teaching services in the Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social work programs. He has taught Introduction to Social Work, Organization Management, Interviewing skills, Cultural Diversity, Substance Abuse Prevention, Substance Abuse Intervention for Chemically Dependent Families, etc.
Mr. Glover has spent his entire life implementing systems, developing cutting edge innovations, empowering individuals, families, groups, and caring for those in need of a human being to show compassion, share time, go the extra mile, and to help them to become the very best they can become regardless of their disabilities, obstacles, complexities, and road blocks. He is a true champion for the people and an outstanding change agent, and he is appreciated.
