Dr. Michelle Bates
Dr. Michelle Bates is the MSW Director of Field Education and has eight years of experience in leadership, project development, social work, and field instruction. Dr. Bates has worked in an array of arenas including county government, the federal government, non-profit, therapeutic settings, and the education system. Dr. Bates graduated from Fayetteville State University in 2008 with her BA in Sociology and minor in Social Work. Dr. Bates later returned to FSU and graduated with her MSW in 2014. Dr. Bates has a Ph.D. in Social Work from Walden University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dr. Bates' research interest includes Forensic Social Work, Child Welfare, Adult Services, and Rural Social Work.
