Dr. Timothy Buckner
Dr. Timothy E. Buckner received his Ph.D. in Spanish from Texas Tech University. He obtained his M.A. in Romance Languages from Texas Tech, his B.A. in Spanish from Southern Utah University, and his A.A. from Dixie State College.

Spanish Language, Literature and Applied Linguistic
Dr. Buckner is interested in 20th and 21st Century literature, Literary Spaces, Food in Literature, and Technology in the Second Language Classroom as a catalyst for Second Language Acquisition. He has published research articles on Food in Carlos Fuente's novel La muerte de Artemio Cruz was accepted for publication in the Middle Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies journal and second language writing in the Journal of Spanish Language Teaching.
Dr. Buckner is currently the faculty adviser for the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society - Sigma Delta Pi. He is also the Fayetteville State University representative for the UNC system Language Exchange Consortium. In addition, he has received the Department of World Languages and Cultures award for Service, as well as being the recipient of the Education Service Award from CCS World Language Department for his active involvement with the Cumberland County Public schools.
