Enterprise Resource Planning (Graduate Certificate)
Enterprise Resource Planning, also known as ERP, is a management tool to integrate all departments and functions across a company onto a single computer system that meets company needs. Enterprise resource planning is becoming a business tool more companies are employing to help them manage resources and information. The system components focus on essential business areas such as finance and accounting, HR, production and materials management, customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management. With the global ERP software market expected to be worth $41.69 billion by the year 2020, the impact of these systems is evident. By 2030, companies and communities throughout the world need to be ready to sustainably integrate 2 billion young people seeking employment into the workforce.
This program will better prepare our students for the workforce and give them a competitive edge. In addition, it will enable students to gain foundation knowledge in business.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program students will be able to:
•Explain key value propositions of ERP systems
•Describe transactional, organizational, and master data of all business processes on SAP systems
•Explain how business processes integrate on SAP S/4 HANA and C\configure SAP S/4 HANA modules to fully integrate business processes •Explain SAP S/4 HANA deployment and configuration options
•Develop user skills to navigate and personalize SAP GUI Easy Access Screen and SAP Fiori
•Utilize SAP S/4 HANA to collectively or separately perform key transactions of key logistics processes including procurement, materials management, fulfillment, and manufacturing.
•Describe components of financial and management accounting, explain differences and integrations between financial and management accounting and execute key processes including settlement, postings, financial statements, and management reports.
•Explain creating projects with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), plan dates and resources for a project, assign materials and resources to a project, perform period-end closing activities for a project
•Describe the process between internal orders, fixed assets, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), perform period-end activities for fixed assets, Integrate EAM and Fixed Asset Accounting, Create and complete maintenance notifications and orders
•Explain key HCM processes and perform key transactions of HCM by using HR Module of SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Success Factors
•Utilize SAP S/4 HANA reporting environments and information systems to extract meaningful information and perform standard and flexible analyses about the business process
