The Fayetteville State University student-athlete body voted Amari Black president of its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C) and Devin Norwood vice president.
The Fayetteville State University student-athlete body voted Amari Black president of its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C) and Devin Norwood vice president.
Senior Amari Black majors in English Language and Literature (with a minor in Spanish). Amari has been a cheerleader for the Broncos for the past three years. She has the highest grade-point-average among the squad and was inducted into the third class of the National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma, Kappa Chapter with a G.P.A higher than a 3.4 in her junior year.
Devin Norwood heads into his junior year as a Mass Communications major and had a red-shirt season with the men's basketball team.
"I have no doubt that this pair will further illuminate the reputation of our FSU SAAC program and continue to make us truly #ProudtoBe," said SAAC Advisor Dr. LaWanda Miller. "I look forward to working with all of our student-athlete leaders throughout the year."
The mission of the student-athlete advisory committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image. The motto for the organization is "Designated for Leadership. Motivated by Strength. Destined for Greatness".
