FSU Receives NC-SARA Approval for Third Straight Year
Fayetteville State University (FSU) has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Agreements (NC-SARA) for the third consecutive year. State regulations require that colleges and universities seeking to enroll out-of-state students in online programming be approved to deliver such programming in accordance with the receiving state's requirements.
The purpose of these regulations is to ensure quality post-secondary education, ensure the integrity of academic degrees, and to provide greater consumer protection for students. NC-SARA provides institutions who join a national reciprocity program that streamlines approval processes and reduces the costs of obtaining approvals to offer online programming to out of state students. Approval to participate signifies that an institution has committed to meeting several requirements designed to ensure the quality of its online courses and programs. In addition, it ensures that the institution has implemented important consumer protections for out of state students.
