According to Online MBA Report, the rankings were designed to give potential MBA candidates access to ample, comprehensive information so they can make an informed decision about the online MBA program they choose to pursue. Online MBA evaluated over 300 US-based online MBA programs for its rankings and gathered information in three ways:
- School Surveys - Online MBA Report surveyed schools offering online MBA programs asking them about their program as well as their input as to which schools they view as the "best."
- Publicly available information on each school's web site.
- Other reputable publications (US News, Princeton Review, etc.)
To rank the schools, the following criteria were used:
- Academic reputation of a given school's online MBA program as well as its campus-based MBA program, if available
- Value as it relates to tuition
- Relative MBA program enrollment numbers
- Admissions selectivity
- Program quality and rigor
FSU's Online MBA program is housed in the Broadwell College of Business and Economics (BCBE). The college is recognized as one of the best in the nation by The Princeton Review. It is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), one of the most prestigious and rigorous accrediting programs. Currently, less than one-third of the US business schools and less than 5 percent of business schools around the world have earned AACSB accreditation.
