FSU Names New Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning
Fayetteville State University has named Dr. Nicole James Lucas as the new Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning. Most recently, Dr. Lucas was the Interim Director for Institutional Effectiveness and the SACSCOC Liaison at Fayetteville State University. Prior to that, Dr. Lucas served for 5 years as chair of the Sociology Department and 3 years as chair of the Council of Chairs.
As the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning, Dr. Lucas will, among other responsibilities, spearhead long-range, strategic university-wide planning and direct the assessment of FSU's strategic plan. Dr. Lucas also serves as FSU's SACSCOC Liaison and is currently leading our 10-year SACSCOC reaffirmation. Dr. Lucas holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; and received her bachelor's degree from Oberlin College.
