IMA Symposium Grand Concert Feb. 9

The Intercollegiate Music Association (IMA) Symposium will be held February 7-9, 2019 on the campus of Fayetteville State University (FSU). Twelve to 15 historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) from along the east coast will participate in workshops in the areas of symphonic band, concert choir, jazz band, and strings. The symposium will conclude with a Grand Concert on February 9, at 1:30 p.m., in J.W. Seabrook Auditorium. Admission is free.

Founded in 1960, IMA is a vehicle for enriching and enhancing the development of the students of its member institutions. For over fifty-eight years, IMA has enhanced the overall ethos of music performance and education for some of the most significant historically black colleges and universities located on the east coast.
