Fayetteville State University Celebrates Academic Excellence — Chancellor’s List Reception honors high-achieving undergraduates
Fayetteville, N.C. (September 13, 2022) — Fayetteville State University (FSU) recognized 700 students for superior academic achievement during the spring 2022 semester at its 2022 Chancellor’s List reception, held September 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rudolph Jones Student Center on the FSU campus.
FSU Chancellor Darrell T. Allison and Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Monica T. Leach delivered greetings and congratulations. Students received special medallions commemorating their achievement and represented all four colleges across campus: the Broadwell College of Business and Economics, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Education, and the Lloyd College of Health, Science and Technology.
“We aim to provide a superior academic experience for our students that will prepare them for rewarding careers and future success in life,” said Allison. “It’s extremely gratifying to see our talented students make the most of their opportunities here. These students have done incredible work and we are privileged to celebrate and encourage them going forward.”
To qualify for the Chancellor’s List, students must complete at least 15 semester hours during one semester (or two consecutive terms for Fort Bragg students), earn a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher with no incomplete grades. With nearly 5,700 undergraduates, those achieving this milestone represent just over 12% of full-time baccalaureate students.
“FSU students are among the brightest and most creative young minds anywhere,” Leach said. “They embrace the academic rigor in our colleges and programs, and fully dedicate themselves to learning. They are seeing the results of their efforts, and we are thrilled to spotlight their achievements.”
