Chancellor Allison Becomes Life Member of FSU National Alumni Association

Fayetteville State University's Chancellor Darrell T. Allison put the institution's motto, "Res Non Verba. Deeds Not Words," into action when he became a life member of the FSU National Alumni Association (NAA).

Allison met with NAA President Richard Kingsberry and presented him a check for $1,000 to cover his lifetime dues. It was Allison's way of showing his commitment to working with the NAA and being active in the group's efforts to support current and future students and alumni.

"I wanted to make this one of my first acts as Chancellor of FSU," Allison said. "I think it's extremely important for the National Alumni Association to know that I support them, the work they do, and the efforts put forth into making FSU a place of which all can be proud. My joining the NAA is my commitment to the organization and the University, and it's just one of many ways that I want to demonstrate that I want to work with them in moving and advancing the mission of their alma mater."

Kingsberry said he appreciates Allison's decision to become a lifetime member of the NAA. He said they look forward to collaborating with him on events, programs and services that impact FSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

"On behalf of the National Alumni Association, I want to thank Chancellor Allison for making this commitment to be an active part of our organization," Kingsberry said. "This clearly demonstrates that he is a man whose actions speak for him, and we look forward to working with him as we look for ways to enhance our beloved institution."
