Admissions Scholarships

Scholarships can be an important part of your financial plan to pay for college! Fayetteville State University has several scholarships you can apply for. Some are competitive and require an additional application. The Office of Admissions also automatically considers first-time freshmen for our Merit Scholarships when you apply to FSU.

Merit Scholarships

Merit Scholarships are awarded at three levels: Platinum Bronco, Gold Bronco, and Silver Bronco. No additional application is required! First-time freshmen are considered when admitted to FSU. These scholarships are also renewable for up to 4 years!

Platinum Bronco

  • Unweighted HS GPA: 3.75+
  • $5,000 per academic year

Gold Bronco

  • Unweighted HS GPA: 3.50-3.74
  • $3,000 per academic year

Silver Bronco

  • Unweighted HS GPA: 3.2-3.49
  • $2,000 per academic year

Merit Scholarships will continue to be awarded until funding is depleted. Merit Scholarships are awarded based on unweighted high school GPA (freshmen) or cumulative college GPA (transfers) at the time of admission to FSU.

Graduate Debt-Free?

The Hackley Global Scholarship, the FSU-NC Early College High School Scholarship, and the Dr. Valeria Fleming STEM Scholarship are all competitive, renewable scholarships that allow recipients to complete their degrees debt-free if they graduate on time. Apply through the Office of Financial Aid.
